Acabei de encontrar (através do Marketallica) o site de um projecto incrível! 🙂 Chama-se "we feel fine" e explora as emoções das pessoas expressas pela web. No site, em "Mission", pode ler-se:
«We Feel Fine is an exploration of human emotion on a global scale.
Since August 2005, We Feel Fine has been harvesting human feelings from a large number of weblogs. Every few minutes, the system searches the world's newly posted blog entries for occurrences of the phrases "I feel" and "I am feeling". When it finds such a phrase, it records the full sentence, up to the period, and identifies the "feeling" expressed in that sentence (e.g. sad, happy, depressed, etc.). Because blogs are structured in largely standard ways, the age, gender, and geographical location of the author can often be extracted and saved along with the sentence, as can the local weather conditions at the time the sentence was written. All of this information is saved.(…)»
Vale a pena explorar um pouco o site, e o applet em si. 🙂 É muito engraçado. Por exemplo, em "Findings":
Gender
182,847 FEELINGS |
from | 154,524 UNIQUE WOMEN |
266,978 FEELINGS |
from | 95,986 UNIQUE MEN |
Significa que ou há mais mulheres na net, nomeadamente em blogs, ou há mais mulheres do que homens a falar do que sentem nesses mesmos blogs.
Age
46,821 FEELINGS |
from | 22,356 PEOPLE AGED 0 – 9 |
560,927 FEELINGS |
from | 152,351 PEOPLE AGED 10 – 19 |
977,837 FEELINGS |
from | 222,251 PEOPLE AGED 20 – 29 |
131,538 FEELINGS |
from | 26,627 PEOPLE AGED 30 – 39 |
25,415 FEELINGS |
from | 5,316 PEOPLE AGED 40 – 49 |
A presença na web por idades, particularmente em blogs, revela que muito à frente está a faixa dos 20 aos 29 anos, com a dos 10 aos 19 a seguir.
Espreitem! 😉
